CONFLICT AT THE CONVENTION IS CALMED
Psalm 127:1, “A Song of degrees for Solomon. Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it:”
The Constitutional Convention opened on May 25, 1787. The stated purpose was to revise the Articles of Confederation. However, it was soon realized by all in attendance that the Articles were too badly flawed to fix. A new Constitution would need to be written, but they soon found that there were deep disagreements in the group.
