Report from the Brooksville Raid Event - January 20-22, 2012

REPOT FROM THE BROOKSVILL RAID EVENT - January 20-22, 2012

God was so awesome this past weekend at Brooksville.  The weather was beautiful and the crowd very large.

Sunday morning we were blessed to again have the “Joyful Noise” to lead our music.  The bass player told me after the service we had over 210 folks in attendance.  Most were spectators as the officers again kept the soldiers out for morning colors past their scheduled time.

A period Civil War message was preached and when the invitation was given we had well over a dozen, maybe a dozen and a half folks for salvation.  Problem was Faith and I could not deal with them fast enough so many gave into the pleas of their friends and left the tent.  We were blessed to have had two workers from the Light House Children’s Home in Tampa, FL in our congregation and they help some.  Several folks came by the chapel tent in the afternoon praising God for his moving in the invitation; it was so awesome and really very hard to verbalize.

Later Sunday afternoon a lady came by the tent and wanted to talk to me.  I remembered her from last year.  She reminded me she rededicated her life to the Lord two years ago in our service at Brooksville.  Last year she stopped at the chapel tent and wanted to talk.  She was struggling with not being blessed by the Lord since she had given her life back to Him.  After talking I discovered she was living with a man who was not her husband.  I told her straight up if she expected to be blessed of God she had to get out of that adulteress relationship.

She told Faith and I this year that as soon as she did leave that man that God began to bless.  She used to tell people that asked how she was doing she didn’t even have a sofa to sit on.  Well God provided a double wide for her and her daughters to rent fully furnished with 4 sofas.  God put her in a good church and provided her a job.  She was such an encouragement to our hearts.

There were a couple other stories from the weekend I could relate like this but will not take any more of your time.  We leave Brooksville Friday morning and head to Bainbridge, GA to preach and present our ministry.

Please keep praying and God bless.
